Golf courses to discover in Gaspésie, a travel idea!

Golf courses in Gaspésie

Since the pandemic, the Gaspésie region has become a must-visit, and we’re hearing a lot more about it. The views are picturesque, the people friendly, the restaurants and seafood excellent. As much as I’d love to tell you about all the restaurants, B&Bs and national parks, today I’m going to focus on what I know best: golf. At Tee-Time.ca, we’ve got three different courses in the Gaspé region, each worth a visit.

Today, we’d like to take you on a little golfing escapade in the magnificent destination of Gaspésie.

Day 1: Departure and first stop

From Montreal: If you’re leaving from Montreal and want to take a short break to play a round of golf, there are several great options. We suggest the Club de Golf Trois-Saumons in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. This magnificent golf course is the perfect start to your adventure.

From the Eastern Townships: Once again, you have several options. Here are our three recommendations:

After your round of golf, a stopover in Rivière-du-Loup is a must if you’re feeling tired. Otherwise, continue to Boule de Rock. For camping enthusiasts, you can reserve your pitch directly HERE; it’s right next to the golf course.

Day 2: Boule Rock Golf Club

Your first round of golf takes place at Club de Golf Boule de Rock, a course ranging from 5143 to 6066 yards. Each nine holes is quite distinct, with the second nine being much narrower. Founded in 1919, this picturesque 18-hole, par 71 course is located in Métis-sur-Mer, Québec. The course offers an attractive challenge for golfers of all levels, with spectacular views of the majestic St. Lawrence River. Don’t forget to say hello to Alex for us!

With Tee-Time, you can book your departure 24 days in advance.

Day 3: Carleton-sur-Mer

Take the road to Carleton-sur-Mer (approx. 2h30 drive). Several accommodation options are available, but according to some sources, Hostellerie Baie-Bleue is a must. Once you’ve dropped off your bags, your game at the Club de Golf Carleton-sur-Mer awaits you.

Game #3: Club de Golf Carleton-sur-Mer

This par 71 course measures from 4867 to 6473 yards for experienced golfers. The course is still in excellent condition and offers sea views from almost every hole. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned golfer, this course will take you through a range of emotions. After your game, enjoy a drink to discuss your exploits; the atmosphere is magnificent. Tee-Time.ca makes it easy to book your departure 50 days in advance!

Day 4: Fort-Prével

Take an extra day in Carleton-sur-Mer to explore the many activities on offer, or head to the other end of the Gaspé Peninsula, to the Club de Golf de Fort-Prével. Here you have several hosting options. If you like camping, Aztec Camping, right next to the site, is an easy choice. Alternatively, the golf course offers accommodation with magnificent views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, with chalets, a motel and an “Inn” giving you plenty to choose from.

Day 5: Fort-Prével Golf Club

The next morning, wake up to a breathtaking view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, coffee in hand, and get ready for a round on the magnificent Fort-Prével grounds. The course offers superb views, numerous stretches of water and even a Par 6, guaranteeing a memorable playing experience.
